Scenic Railcar Weekend 28th-30th September 2007

The Scenic Railcar Weekend in September 2007 was the first major event the Group organised and was thankfully sucessful. Derby Lightweight M79900 "Iris" visited the line and history was made on the Saturday when two DMUs crossed on the Churnet Valley for the first time. Our Power-Twin Class 104 set M50455/517 was in operation along with Iris and Diesel Locomotives (on Sunday) with more diesels on display in Cheddleton yard with our other four vehicles (53437/M53494/56182/M59137) throughout the weekend. The event was also the host for The Railcar Association's 2007 meeting which was on the Friday night. The group give their thanks to all who attended and helped support DMU preservation on the CVR.
